Lubriderm skin lotion is nourishing moisturizer with oat extract or use the new tattoo?
I just got a tattoo (my first) on the day of today. The guy told me to use Lubriderm, I bought a tube of lotion and just said it's burning. Is this normal?
First, never should be the saran wrap on any tattoo. I always say people should follow the instructions of their tattoo artists. That said, I also have a lot problems with lotion immediately after a new tattoo so I always give out little pillow packs of Ink Fixx ointment to be applied only with a very thin veil, can not accumulate in the skin. No petroleum products, lanolin, etc and does not cause itching regular lotions do in the first two days. The extract Calm oats, so the lotion is applied in general that is causing the burning. In all likelihood will not burn the next time you use it. Wash in Tattoos warm, not have to be cold – You have to be comfortable for you. Edit notes: The reason no saran wrap is not that color sucks, it's just too bad practice. When the tattoo is new, you need a gauze dressing to absorb fluids that are not dirt and prevents cross contamination of all, because the fluid may ooze from the bottom of the saran wrap. Moreover, it prevents air from getting to it so it's good for the remains of the tattoos. As for A & D, which contains petrolatum and lanolin – both of these ingredients have been continuously written about as bad for tattoos.
