You must look for a real old car to get one with no computer. Look for either a nissan / datsun 260z or 280z, or an older mazda rx7. In any case, it will have to be made prior to 1980.
Most often the misperception of networking is that you need to be sociable and talkative real potential to be good at networking and meeting relevant partners. However, this is not the case, because normally the person who is shy (yet very good at what they do) are often those who benefit most from the marketing of reference and are normally not in sales or work output.
You would surprised at how many people actually are introverts and have developed a system that relies on direct sales between themselves and others. However, the manner in which the sale is not initiated introvert is going out and doing sales calls, but rather on meaningful relationships, key strategic partners and good communication.
If you're shy, I urge you to please do not take out of the picture of networks, because you're not good at making conversation. Usually it is this type of person who excels in the creation Networking is more important part in building relationships anyway.
Networks against business-to-face is a two part process, and it is meeting whereby, talk and hear about you and the other party. What if you're shy is that they tend to be fairly and therefore if you meet one more outgoing counterpart, will be incredibly easy to hear as they love themselves expanding. Throughout you can take notes and ask more questions to get them out.
You see, in low pressure and even the sales environment of secrecy stands introverted as can quietly sneak up and get inside information that personality extrovert so readily gives to all. This time the shy person's arms ammunition of all who need help "solve a problem" for them, while they have not really drawn to the quiet person out.
If you're too intimidated to meet people, all you need do is to silence someone up in a group of people stand around, usually an extrovert, which is the center of attention. It is outside of these discussion groups is likely meeting other people shy and, in turn will feel more comfortable in discussing the ideas that it is the strongest of personalities, and is more natural too.
Do not think that you only need the network in local business chambers, can get referrals and potential new avenues of volunteerism; possibly attend a Toastmasters meeting or Rotary Club (which would need to be a business club track though).
The business networking is something you can learn to get better and better over time, and less timid. If you do not have either the mix of business meetings, try to take advantage of a smaller, more intimate network where you can only have a few others have a chat and exchange ideas over coffee initially. By taking the situation of an office environment or formal setting that may also be less intimidating, especially when you have a good strong group leader who is sensitive to the needs of each individual in the group.
Just as you do more and more mixed, although to a lesser level, you learn to adapt his unique style of meeting people, even if it is drawing to you, and you will not them. Please remember that although you may feel extremely shy, if you smile at someone and come across as friendly, that even have to talk, the stronger networkers will be attracted to you and you will find yourself in a conversation before you know it.
